The train arived at about 10:30am. We managed to get a rickshaw to our hotel. We were warned about the numbers of touts and how expensive the rickshaws were before we got here.. However, we managed in Jaipur, which is similar so I think we should be fine. We know how to haggle & walk away!
It is a lot hotter here then in Udaipur.
The hotel is basic, to say the least. On the way to the hotel, we got our first glimpse of the Taj Mahal. Even as a glimpse, it is pretty spectacular.
After relaxing for a bit, we went to the Agra Fort & a couple of other places, which were pretty marvelous. We had a rickshaw driver take us around, which was ok.
We visited the 'Baby Taj', which is a mausoleum to the grandparents of Mumtaz Mahal (who is the woman whose death inspired the building of the Taj. We also went to a park which is on the other side of the river to the Taj Mahal, and you see the rear of the Taj. We took lots of photos of it changing colours as the sun went down....
